An alarm signal!

The diversity of the microbiome is decreasing – especially in the industrialized world...

Bacteria, viruses and fungi (microbes) can support people especially when many different species populate the body.

The problem: the diversity of microbes hashas declined significantly in recent decades.

👉🏼 Why?

Our lifestyle, our diet and our use of medication

What happens if the system is disrupted?

Thousands of different types of bacteria live in the intestines of a healthy person. These play an essential role in our digestion. As a microbiome, the intestinal bacteria also influence numerous other processes in the body, such as the immune system.

Food, antibiotics or other environmental influences can result in a lack of bacteria or a shift in the proportions of different groups of bacteria. This weakens the immune system. Many experts believe that many diseases of civilization, such as allergies or food intolerances, are related to a disturbed microbiome in the intestine.

Less fiber = fewer good bacteria
