Through the foundation, Gisela is realizing this dream and is committed to a harmonious coexistence between people and nature.
Theo was a passionate animal breeder, hunter and naturalist who used his deep knowledge and enthusiasm for nature to not only protect the animals in his wildlife park, but also to care for them in a species-appropriate manner. His commitment to the welfare of the animals and his respect for different cultures continue to inspire the foundation's work to this day.
Gisela continues Theo's legacy by continuing to promote his interest in the diversity of cultures and ways of life. She motivates others to create a healthier, fairer and more sustainable world through education and intercultural exchange. Her work invites us all to be part of this valuable mission.
Most people feel the desire to live not at the expense of, but in coexistence with our environment.
But how do we achieve a sustainable balance between people, nature and technology?
We are convinced that this is only possible through a deep understanding of sociological, ecological and economic dynamics. This knowledge is crucial for a contemporary understanding of ourselves and the world in which we live.
It enables us to navigate the complex interactions of our time and use technologies in a way that supports people without overwhelming them.
Nature and technology must not, no: must not be opposites.
Lifelong learning and the acquisition of key skills form the basis for continuously adapting to a changing world. Through education, we promote a culture that supports and strengthens both individual and planetary health.
And education is the guarantee for mutual understanding, culture and empathy. And ultimately for change in the most positive sense.
The Planet Bambi – Gisela and Theo Grabowski Foundation is committed to strengthening the connection between people, nature and technology to promote planetary health.
Our goal is to provide children, young people and interested parties with a comprehensive understanding of our health and our environment through holistic education and competency-based learning.
In this way, young and old can understand the importance of the harmonious interaction between people, nature and technology at a local level and act as global ambassadors for it.
Following the wishes of our founders, we function as an operational, non-profit foundation and therefore do not award grants or scholarships.
Instead, we invest our resources in projects that we have designed and initiated ourselves and, where possible, implement ourselves. We work closely with decision-makers from politics, business and society and maintain partnerships with public and scientific institutions.
Our foundation under civil law pursues exclusively and directly non-profit, tax-exempt purposes.
Collecting was our founder's great passion, his great love, entirely without any desire for fame or honor.
