A runny nose and cough are typical symptoms of many respiratory infections. When you cough or sneeze, countless pathogens are sprayed through saliva and nasal secretions and can be transmitted to others through droplets.


Etiquette rules for sneezing not only help with polite manners, but also with hygiene and health. When you sneeze, respiratory droplets are released from the mouth and nose. These contain various pathogens that can contaminate everything they come into contact with.
